The No. 1 Foreign Corp in China Is... Motorola, the multi-naitonal manufactuer and distributor of electronic equipment and components. This is according to the data recently released by China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. To reach this top position Motorola squeezed out Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Company. The total revenue for Motorola China during the past year was 31.3 billion yuan or approximately 3.86 billion US dollars while for Shanghai Volkswagen it was 28.7 billion yuan or $3.5 billion. Previously, for nine years in a roll, Shanghai Volkswagen had been China's largest copamny with foreign investment. Back to China Notes and News
