More North Americans Visit China
More and more Canadians are traveling to China ¨C the number increased by 10% during the first seven months of 2002 over that of the same period the previous year. In 2000, a total of 253,800 Canadians went to China for business, pleasure, or a combination of both.
Where did they go once they arrive in country? Beijing, Shanghai, XiĄŻan, and the Three Gorges of Yangtze River turn out to be top favorite destinations. Additionally, Kunming, Mt. Huangshan, and Dunghuan are becoming more and more popular.
South of the Canadian border, in the United States, a total of 950,000 Americans traveled to China in 2000, which amounts to a 5.9% increase over the number of the year before
