Business Travel Cost - Beijing How expensive is Beijing for a business traveler? More expensive than Frankfurt, Toronto or Singapore but less expensive than New York, San Francisco or Paris. This according to a survey by human resources consulting firm Mercer, conducted in May. On average a business traveler staying in New York should expect to spend $440 a day. If he travels to Singapore, Frankfurt, San Francisco or Paris, the figure would be respectively $224, $278, $349 and $388. Beijing is somewhere in the middle of this group, with a daily expense of $300. In East Asia, the most expensive city is Tokyo, where a day¡¯s stay would cost a business traveler $331.
