Hotels in Beijing Named to Serve 2008 Olympic Games
The Organization Committee for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games recently designated seven hotels in Beijing as qualified to serve the Games. The committee made the announcement at a ceremony featuring the signing of contracts between the committee and the hotels named. This is the first group of hotels designated for the purpose, which promise to reserve 3,500 rooms for athletes, officials and sponsors that reside in the city during the Games. Altogether the committee intends to give the designation to about 70 hotels in Beijing, with a total capacity of 23,000 rooms.
The first seven hotels that received the designation are: Beijing Hotel, China World Hotel, Grand Hotel Beijing, Hong Kong Macao Centre Swissotel, Beijing International Hotel, Kunlun Hotel and Crowne Plaza Beijing. Back to China Notes and News
