Formula 1 Auto Race Comes to China Formula 1 World Championship is coming to the Chinese city - the 2004 F1 Chinese Grand Prix will be held in Shanghai from September 24 to 26. This will be the first time the famed auto race takes place in China. The event is sponsored by Chinese corporation Sinopec, and a brand new track, Shanghai International Circuit, is currently under construction. It is said that Chinese cities Beijing and Wuhan are also in the process of building similar facilities to support the growing interest in the country’s newest sport. Back to China Notes and News
