China Said to be World’s Largest International Tourism Market in 15 Years


Speaking at a tourism forum held in Suzhou, China, an official from the World Tourism Organization told forum participants that according to WTO’s estimate, by year 2020 China will have overtaken France, Spain and the United States to become the most-visited country in the world.

In the past decade China attracted over 40 million foreign tourists. China is currently the most popular tourist destination in Asia and ranks the fifth worldwide.
