Continental and American to Fly China
Continental Airlines will begin nonstop service to Beijing from New York/Newark Liberty International Airport staring June 15, 2005. The daily flight leaves Liberty Airport at 12:00 p.m. and departs Beijing Capital Airport at 4:45 p.m.
American Airlines will begin its nonstop service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to Shanghai, China, on April 3, 2006. The AA flight will depart Chicago O'Hare daily at 9:00 a.m. and depart Shanghai Pudong Airport at 5:00 p.m.
With these new addtions, the number of U.S. airlines operating U.S.-China routes increases to four; Northwest Airlines and United Airlines have been in the China market for some time. Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines and North American Airlines also have plans to provide China services. Back to China Notes and News
