Free Wireless Internet at Beijing Capital International Airport
A free wireless internet access center was recently set up at Beijing Capital International Airport. Located in the boarding waiting area, the center is furbished by ASUS, the Taiwan-based computer technology company, which donated the laptop computers utilized. ASUS previously established a similar service at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. Other Chinese airports, such as Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Shanghai Pudong Airport, have also been wirelss-enabled, making it possible for passengers to access the internet with their own laptop computers.
More than 130 million Chinese now use the internet. This is the world's second largest internet population, smaller only than that of the United States.
