Egypt Air Is to Resume Flying to Beijing Egypt Air is set to resume its services between Cairo and Beijing on October 31, said the Egyptian embassy in Beijing. There will be two flights to Beijing every week, with a stopover in Bangkok, Thailand. Egyptian Air first launched its services to Beijing in January 2003. The operation was subsequently suspended, however, due to the outbreak of SARS epidemic in China later that year. In May 2002 China’s National Tourism Administration had officially declared Egypt a tourist destination for Chinese citizens who travel abroad. The flight between Cairo and Beijing lasts about ten hours. Back to China Notes and News
