Flights between Wuxi and Hong Kong launched
On January 26 Wuxi Airport saw off its first direct flight to Hong Kong.
Located 125 kilometers (80 miles) northwest of Shanghai, Wuxi is a historical city known for gardens and lakeside views. The city has seen dynamic economic growth in recent years. Trade with foreign countries and investment from abroad have expanded considerably, which calls for improved link with the outside world. Currently there are direct flights from Wuxi to major cities in mainland China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Kunming, Guilin and Chongqing.
The Wuxi-Hong Kong service is operated by China Eastern Airline Jiangsu. Departure time at Wuxi Airport is 17:40; return flight is 15:05 at Hong Kong International Airport.
