Q: We want to go from Shanghai to Nantong by bus or by train. Please infrom us the distance and fare and time.
A: The best way to travel from Shanghai to Nantong is by long distance bus. It is about 160 km (100 ml) between the two cities. So it is a bus ride of about two hours. Buses departure from a number of stations in Shanghai, including Shanghai Changtu Qiche Keyun Zongzhan (Shanghai Long Distance Bus Passenger Service General Station - the chief long distance bus station in Shanghai, located close to Shanghai Railway Station). There is rail link between Shanghai and Nantong. The route, however, is circuitous (600 km or 375 ml), and the train ride lasts about 7 hours.
