Q: Can you advise on the distance between ningbo to Wenzhou? Please also advise the available trains & Flights and fares and transit time to visit these area.
| | A: The distance between Ningbo and Wenzhou, by highway, is approximately 300 km (190 miles), give and take, depending on the routes one follows. It should not take too long to get from Ningbo to Wenzhou by long distance coach. Bus tickets can be purchased a few days in advance, and can also be purchased on the same day when one travels. During holidays, however, it may be difficult to get the needed tickets, so it would be better to plan ahead if one has to travel at those times.
There are several long distance bus stations in Ningbo, including South, North, East, West, and Central stations. There are buses bound for Wenzhou at the Central Station (Ningbo Keyun Zhongxin - Ningbo Passenger Transportation Center). The Central Station is located at no. 181 Tongda Road; it is off Jichang Lu (Airport Road) and is about 20 km from Lishe Airport.
The airport that serves Ningbo is Ningbo Lishe Airport. There are flight services from Ningbo to major cities of China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Hong Kong, and Macao. There does not seem to be flight service to Wenzhou.
In Wenzhou, buses bound for Ningbo can be found at Xincheng Bus Station (Xincheng Qiche Zhan). Xincheng Bus Station is located at no. 219 Xincheng Dadao (Xincheng Ave.); it is about 20 km from Yongqiang Airport.
The airport that serves Wenzhou is Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport. There are flight services to major cities of China, including Hong Kong. Again there is no flight service between Ningbo and Wenzhou.
Currently there is no direct train service between Ningbo and Wenzhou; one has to make a connection in Hangzhou and follow a circuitous route, which means a longer trip (a railway between Ningbo and Wenzhou is currently under construction).
