Q: Hello! What is land and air price? Which is cheaper? Can you let me know what is the cost of flight two way from Guangzhou to Ningbo? If I fly, how many hour need to take to travel between the two cities?
| | A: Land and air prices refer to prices of packaged tours. The land price of a packaged tour does not include the cost of international flights (flights from your country to China and back). It covers expenses inside China, including hotel, local transportation, and domestic flights too (so "land" is not a fully accurate term). When the price of a tour is "land and air," this means that it includes both expenses inside China and the flights to and back from China.
As for transportation between Guangzhou and Ningbo, one can travel either by plane or by train. Air fares vary a great deal depending on when you travel and book your flights; a return trip between Guangzhou and Ningbo may cost you anywhere from ¥1,200 to ¥2,000.
If you travel by train instead of flying, the cost may be half of what you pay for your flights. It is, however, a long journey from Guangzhou to Ningbo. Train ride time is over 21 hours. You will definitely need a sleeping berth, ideally a soft sleeping berth, for the trip.
Either way, you want to make sure you can get the tickets you need, which may be hard to come by, especially during holiday seasons.
