Q: Pre-dinner cocktail cruises round Hong Kong harbour on a Chinese junk?

A: Hong Kong Tourism Board organizes a free junk ride, on Thursday and Saturday only. The ride takes place in the afternoon on Thursday and around noon on Saturday. There are two boarding places, Kowloon Public Pier and Queen's Pier on Hong Kong island. Space is limited, so one should make reservation in advance. Contact HKTB Visitor Information and Services (+852 2508 1234).

Through Viator (viator.com) one can book a paid pre-dinner cocktail cruise on a junk, for about US$50 per person.

Other companies operate dinner cruises and other cruises. Among operators are Harbour Cruise-Bauhinia and Watertours of Hong Kong.
