Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I am from Myanmar. I want to go to Shanghai. Do I need to apply visa entry to Hongkong only to take flight at hong kong from Gunagzhou for my return route?

A: Citizens of Myanmar need visa to stay in Hong Kong. They do not need visa if they're in direct air tansit and do not leave the airport transit area. In your case, however, since you're going to travel in China, you'll need to apply for China visa in any event (Chinese diplomatic/consular missions handle visa applications for both mainalnd China and Kong Kong.) Contact the Chinese consulate in your region.
