Q: How many miles are there between Shanghai and Qingdao?

A: There are 625 miles between Qingdao and Shanghai. That is if you go by highway. The flight between the two cities takes about an hour. A train ride between the two cities takes about 16 hours. There are also Gray-Hound kind of coach services, which last about 10 hours and cost about 150 yuan. The quality of such coach services vary, however, and may not be the right thing for foreign travelers.
