Q: How many kilometers is the hike at Qingcheng Hou Shan? Can it be done as a day trip from Dujiangyan?
A: Qingcheng Mountain is about 20 minutes' drive from Dujiangyan. There are organized one-day trips to Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain. The paths that link various sites in Qingcheng Front and Qincheng Back are 6 miles or so in length respectively. There are cable lifts. It is said that it is a little rushed to do Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain on one day, especially you mean to hike, but it can be done. For organized one-day trip, try emailing webmaster@shutours.com or Service@pandaholiday.com. Cannot vouch for the companies and don't know how well they deal with foreign tourists.
