Q: Are there any trains that connect Shenzhen, Xiamen and/or Guilin?

A: There are rail connections among these cities, but most likely you'll have to make connections - for instance, to go from Shenzhen to Guangzhou and get on a train there to get to Guilin. The distance between Guangzhou and Guilin is roughly 900 kilometers (560 miles) and the ride lasts about 12 hours.

There distance between Shenzhen and Xiamen is rough the same as that between Shenzhen and Guilin. The train ride from Guangzhou and Xiamen lasts about 15 hours.
