Q: I will need to travel from Beijing to Rizhao and would like to know which mode of land transport is the fastest. How much time is the journey? Thanks.
A: It must be Rizaho, Shandong (a relatively small place). There is an overnight train that leaves Beijing around 10:00 pm and arrive in Rizhao about noon time next day. So it's a 14 hour ride. It is not a particularly fast train, but compared to long distance bus, it is more predictable and dependable.
