Q: I am planning to visit Qingdao and also would like to visit Shanghai and Beijing. Could you please tell me the distance from Qingdao to Beijing and from Qingdao to Shanghai?

A: The distance between Qingdao and Beijing is 840 km (520 miles). The distance between Qingdao and Shanghai is 1,000 km (625 miles). You can either fly or travel by train from Qingdao to the other two cities. The train ride to Beijing lasts about 12 hours while the ride to Shanghai lasts about 20 hours.
