Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I'm arriving at Hongkong international airport at 7:35pm. If I go with the train how long and how much does it take to get to Guanzhou? From what station should I take train?

A: There are coach services that directly link Hong Kong International Airport with Guangzhou. They run from 7:00 in the morning till 10:00 at night. The cost is about HK$270 and the ride is over 3 hours. The buses stop at a number of hotels in Guangzhou.

There are trains running between Hong Kong and Guangzhou. They leave from Hung Hom Station in Kowloon and arrive at Guangzhou East Station. One can take a shuttle bus at the airport to get to Hung Hom Station, but the last train seems to leave there for Guangzhou at 19:15, so that's no help to you if you don't want to stay overnight in Hong Kong.
