Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: We're going to Hong Kong on last week of November together with my husband and my son, is it advisable to join the Shenzhen tour with my 2-year old son? Based on the package tour we will be responsible in going to back to the hotel from the China border. How long will it take going back to BP International Hotel from China border?

A: Whether you can bring along your two-year-old son depends on the kind of tour your'll be on and on what the tour operator thinks. You said it is a tour of Shenzhen; Shenzhen is a urban setting and generally flat, so shouldn't be a whole lot long-distance and up-and-down hiking. Ask your tour operator for specifics.

BP International Hong Kong is located in Kowloon; the train-ride (on East Rail) is about 40 minutes from downtown Kowloon to Lo Wu border check-point, which is on the edge of Shenzhen. There are also coach services between Shenzhen and Kowloon (operated by CTS).
