Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I'm wondering what a train fare would be from Xiamen to southern China...probably around Guangzhou. Also, are there any group rates available for train travel?

A: If you travel by soft sleeper from Xiamen to Guangzhou, the train fair would be around 350 yuan (varies depending on upper or lower berth). The ride lasts about 14 hours and covers 850 kilometers (530 miles). We're not aware of group rates.
