Q: I am a Syrian city and have been studying in Guangzhou, with residence permit for 6 months. Do I need a visa to travel to Hong Kong? If so, how do I apply for it?

A: Syrian citizens need visas to travel to Hong Kong. You may apply for your visa by post to Hong Kong's Immigration Department, or from its office in Beijing. The addresses are respetively:

7 Gloucester Road,
Wan Chai, Hong Kong

You can also have your sponsor in Hong Kong, if you have one, to apply for you.

If you apply oustide China, you should contact the nearest Chinese diplomatic and consular mission.
