Q: Can we travel by railway or bus to Fuzhou from Macau? How much does it cost and how long we have to travel? Is there any problem in booking ticket once I reached Macau international airport?
A: There are buses that leave Gongbei (which is the border check point between Macau and Zhuhai (the city on the side of China proper). You can take an airport bus to get to Gongbei. You may get further information about buses to Fuzhou from the company China Travel Service (tel.: 853 861356). The bus ride shouldn't cost a whole lot but it is a long ride. It is not very convenient to travel by train from Macau to Fuzhou. There is a (a kind of slow) train that departs from Shenzhen (not too far from Macau); the ride lasts about 19 hours, covering about 1,000 kilometers. You can fly directly from Macau to Fuzhou; flight time is about an hour and half.
