Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I've read about a subway to run down Shennan Rd, a main street? Is it completed? If so, where does it begin and end and how long does it take time-wise? Thank you.

A: Shenzhen subway route no. 1 goes along Shennan Dadao and then Shennan Zhonglu, in the east-west direction; the subway then turns south and reaches Shenzhen Railway Station and Luohu border check point. The westernmost station of the line is Shijiezhizhuang (Window on the World, the theme park), and the station at the other end is Shenzhen Railway Station. Run time between the two stations is roughly 25 minutes. Trains come every seven or eight minutes.
