Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I was told to fly into Shanghai and take the bus/taxi to get to a local domestic airport (PuXi) to get to Nanchang airport. Please indicate if there's a better route like from Hong Kong to Nanchang direct.

A: There seem to be flights between Shanghai Pudong Airport to Nanchang. Should have your agents double check. Flights are not on everyday of the week.

China Eastern Airline operates flights between Hong Kong and Nanchang. But they seem to be twice a week. If you go that route, you have to choose the dates.

By "PuXi" you must be referring to Hongqiao Airport. This is the old airport that served and still serves Shanghai. Pudong is Shanghai's new international airport. There are flights between Hongqiao and Nanchang's Changbei airport. "Puxi" means "west of Huangpu River" and Pudong means "east of Huangpu River." Hongqiao airport in located the eastern side of Huangpu River. It is all that far away from Pudong airport and there should be transportation means between them.
