A: There is no direct train link between Hong Kong and Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. If you want to travel by train, you need to travel to Shenzhen or Guangzhou first and make the connection there. The distance to Nanchang from these cities is roughly 1,000 kilometers, Shenzhen being about an hour or so closer to Hong Kong than Guangzhou. Train rides to Nanchang last from 11 to 15 hours, depending on which train you're on. Soft sleeper costs about 300 Chinese dollars.
