A: You can travel by train from Guilin to Nanning. The distance between the two cities is roughly 450 kilometers or 300 miles. The train ride is about 5 to 6 hours, depending on which train you take - there are a number of them that you can take. It is safe to travl by train. As always, watch out for petty crimes such as pickpockets. Soft seat or berths are available. There are also coach services between the two cities.
