Q: Hi. How do i travel from Dalian to Shanghai? And what would be the cost of the travel?


A: You can travel from Dalian to Shanghai by plane or train. There are daily flghts from Dalian to Shanghai. A round trip ticket costs anywhere from 1,000 to 1,600 yuan. If you go by train, travel time is 24 hours, with noon departure and arrival. A one-way soft berth on the train costs about 650 yuan. It takes closet to 40 hours or so to go by ship from Dalian to Shanghai; too long to make it a practical option for passengers.
