Q: I am looking for a 8 day tour and flight package for about 600.00, to Bejing and Shanghai. 2 people we are open with dates.
A: $600 probably won't make it. You can find travel agencies that arrange single-city tours of Beijing and Shanghai for about $300 each city per person, but that does not include international nor domestic flights. Friendly Planet Travel offers a packaged tour of Beijing and Shanghai for about $1,000. You can find packaged tours of three cities - Beijing, Xian and Shanghai - for about $1,400 per person, air and land. You can also ask a travel agency to make a packaged tour for you, which may include just Beijing and Shanghai. The cost may be lower than above mentioned and may be more to your liking. Chinese travel agency ChinaHighlights, for instance, offers this latter service.
