Q: How can I best get from Beijing Capital International Airport to Shangri-La hotel at 10pm at night (I understand the shuttle only runs until 7pm). Are taxis readily available at that hour and price?

A: Shuttle buses run from Beijing Capital International Airport to various destinations in Beijing. The line of the shuttle bus that passes Shangri-la Hotel Beijing is No. 4. The latest bus on the particular route departs from the airport at 10:30, but that won't help you if your plane arrives around 10:00 pm. Also, even though the shuttle bus in question has a stop at Zizhuyuan Overpass, which is very close to Shangri-la Hotel, most likely you'll have to take a short taxi-ride (a few w hundred yards?) to get to the hotel itself. Shuttle bus fare to get from the airport to the city is 16 yuan.

Taxis are readily available at Beijing Capital Airport. Fair varies depending on which part of the city you're going; roughly it is 70 yuan. There is also a 10 yuan freeway toll. Distance between the airport to central Beijing is roughly 30 km.
