Answer to One China Travel Question
|
| | Q: What are express bus times and fares from Nanning to Shenzhen?
| | A: Unlike the case with trains, schedule for buses in China are not very reliable; they tend to change frequently. So travelers are advised to check them at the time of traveling. There are a number of long distance bus stations in Nanning; for example, Langong Station, Jiangnan Station, Anji Station, Beida Station and Jinqiao Station. Bus travel time from Nanning to Shenzhen is about 12 hours. There are quite a few buses that serve the Nanning-Shenzhen route, with some of them leave in the evening and others depart in the afternoon. Fare may vary depending on class of coaches and seasons in which you travel. You may be looking at some 250 yuan for a ride. It is relatively inexpensive, but long distance bus does not seem to be a very good way to travel for a foreigner in China. Trains are more predictable except that there is no direct train link between Nanning and Shenzhen. One needs to travel from Nanning to Guangzhou first and then go from there by bus or train. It is easy to travel from Guangzhou to Shenzhen. One can also fly of course.
