Q: Hi,please inform how I can tavel from Shanghai or Beijing to Linyi by air or by bus and train.
A: Linyi is a prefectural city located in southern Shandong Province, about 950 km south of Beijing, 1,300 km north of Shanghai. Linyi is connected by railway, but there is no direct train between Shanghai and Linyi. There is direct train service that runs from Beijing to Linyi. It's an overnight train and the ride lasts about eleven hours. One should get a ticket for a soft sleeping berth. One can also fly from Beijing or Shanghai to Linyi, even though there may not be flights everyday of the week. It's more expensive to travel by plane.
