Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I shall arrive Beijing Airport from Finland and have a transfer after two hours to Jinan Airport in Shandang Province. Is the Beijing international airport in the same place as the demostic airport in Beijing or are they two differetn airports? Thank you.

A: Almost all commercial flights to Beijing, international or domestic, use Beijing Capital International Airport (Beijing Shoudu Guoji Jichang), as flights between Beijing and Jinan. There is another airport near Beijing, known as Beijing Nanyuan Airport (Beijing Nanyuan Jichang), which has recently started serving commercial flights. It seems that the airport current serves only one airline, China United Airlines, which does not seem to fly to Jinan. You may want to double check, of course.
