Q: I shall arrive GUANGZHOU airport in end of Nov. at 19:15 and I want to go to Hong kong airport at this time from Guangzhou airport by bus or by trian. Are there any trian or bus at this time to Hong kong airport from Guanghou airport? How many hours the trip should take? Which one is faster the train or the bus trip becuase i must be there 23.45. What is the fare by bus and by train? Thank you indeed.

If you have to make connections, time may be a problem. China Travel Service Hong Kong operates bus services that links the city of Guangzhou to Hong Kong International Airport. These buses depart from various hotels in Guangzhou. The latest bus departs at 20:00 or about that time. If your plane arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 19:15, it is going to be difficult for you to make this connection. It takes 40 to 60 minutes for an Airport Express bus at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport to get to one of those hotels in Guangzhou where buses to Hong Kong pick passengers. Even you manage to catch one of those buses to Hong Kong, you'll be sitll cutting it close because it takes 3 hours for the bus to get from Guangzhou to Hong Kong International Airport.
The latest train to Hong Kong leaves Guangzhou East Railway Station at 21:23. If you manage to get to Guangzhou East Station in time to catch this train, you'll arrive at Hung Hom Station in Kowloon at 23:00. From there you need to make a couple of bus or train connections to get to Hong Kong Airport. It is still too close. Ideally there are direct bus services from Guangzhou Airport to Hong Kong Airport. We're not aware of them, but you may want to look into it to make sure.
By bus or by train, the cost is not a whole lot, about 250-300 Chinese dollars.
Some people say crimes such as theft are a problem in Guangzhou, especially at railway stations.
Also keep in mind that if you go to Hong Kong and wants to return to Guangzhou, you need visa for re-entry.
