Q: We need to get to Yiwu City on business from the UK. I am having trouble finding flights. What is the best way to get there.
A: Since Yiwu is a relatively small city, there are no direct international flights to the place. If you arrive in Guangzhou, which is the Chinese city next to Hong Kong, you can catch another flight from there to go on to Yiwu. Among other Chinese cities that have flights to Yiwu are Shenzhen and Beijing. Yiwu airport is small and is just a few miles from the city center. The planes are most likely Boeing 733. If from UK you fly into Shanghai, you can travel to Yiwu by train, coach, or rented vehicle (along with a driver and/or a guide if that's what you need). Land travel time to from Shanghai to Yiwu ranges from 4 to 6 hours.
