Q: Can u tell me the disrance between Wenzhou & Guangzhou and the best way of transportation between the two cities? Also, if u can, please tell me please me in which city one can find most autoparts manufacturers in China.
| | A: The distance between Guangzhou and Wenzhou is anywhere from 1,300 to 1,700 kilometers, depending on which route you follow or which means of transportation you choose. Railway is the longer way. It takes about 28 hours to travel from Guangzhou to Wenzhou. A sleeping berth is a must (ideally what the Chinese call "soft sleeping berth" - ruan wo). Highway is the shorter way and there are long distance coaches between the two cities. This is not, however, very nice way to travel, as travelers would be confined to a bus for about ten hours. There are long distance coaches with sleeping berths, but it is just not a very nice way to travel, for foreigners in China anyway. There flight services between Guangzhou and Wenzhou - betwee the New Baiyun International Airport outside Guangzhou and Yongqiang Airport outside Wenzhou. Flight time is approximately one hour and forty minutes. It is about 24 km from Yongqiang Airport to the city center of Wenzhou.
It is hard to say where you can find the most auto parts manufacturers. China's auto industry is still in the early stage of development, there are a large number of companies that are competing for the emerging business. It may be said that it is more likely to find such operations in the eastern part of the country, which is bettern developed and has a closer connection to the outside world, but that's not to say a whole lot and does not shed much light on your question.
