Q: Dear Sir, could u pls advise whether there are any direct flights between Delhi & Wenzhou. If no what's the nearest airport to Wenzhou. Kindly revert ASAP.
| | A: There are no direct flights between Delhi and Wenzhou. Flight services are operated between Wenzhou and other major cities of China, such as Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai. Of these cities, Shanghai is the closest to Wenzhou, with the flight time between Shanghai and Wenzhou being a little over an hour. This does not make much of a difference if you intend to fly from any of these cities to Wenzhou. From Hong Kong, for instance, flight time to Wenzhou is no more than two hours. So you can fly from Delhi to any of the major Chinese cities and then make a flight connection there to travel on to Wenzhou. The airport for Wenzhou is called Yongqiang Airport. If you fly to Shanghai, keep in mind that there are flights from both of Shanghai's two airports to Wenzhou, namely Putong Airport and Hongqiao Airport. Most international flights that come to Shanghai arrive at Putong Airport. It would be advantageous, of course, to take a flight that departs from Putong Airport for Wenzhou, which would save the traveler the trouble of making the local transfer from Putong to Hongqiao Airport.
One can also travel to Wenzhou by train once one has arrived in China. This means of transportation of course takes longer for you to get your desetination. Train travel time between Shanghai and Wenzhou is approximately 10 hours. Train travel time between Guangzhou and Wenzhou is about 22 hours. From Beijing to Wenzhou train travel time is 30 hours.
