A: Shenzhen is close to Guangzhou. It is about an hour away southeast of Guangzhou. It is the city next to Hong Kong. That is, when you enter Mainland China from Hong Kong, after the border cross you reach Shenzhen. You can travel between Guangzhou and Shenzhen by bus or train.

The distance between Guangzhou and Shantou, by highway, is 470 km (300 ml). You can travel between Guangzhou and Shantou by bus or train, and travel time ranges from 5 to 8 hours. You also travel by plane between the two cities; travel time is close to an hour. The airport for Shantou is Waisha Airport; it is located 13 km northeast of the city.
