Answer to One China Travel Question

Q: I am going to China as a tourist seeing different sights. Then I am going to visit Hong Kong as an extension and returning to the UK from Hong Kong can. Is it all right if I just apply for a single visa?

A: If you enter China Proper (Mainland China) once, a single entry visa is fine. Since you're a UK citizen, you can visit Hong Kong wihtout a visa. However, if you visit mainland China, tour Hong Kong, and then want to travel back to mainland China, a single entry visa is not enough.
